Why the square case works

We have seen firsthand that square watches divide opinion until they are worn. The flat edges sit cleanly under a cuff, and the wider dial surface gives the calendar window and skeleton detailing room to breathe. On a wrist between 6.5" and 8", the proportions land well.

The hollowed dial section exposes part of the movement architecture underneath. It is a design choice, not a mechanical one — the movement itself is quartz, so accuracy stays consistent without any winding routine.

Sizing and fit

At 42mm across and 16mm deep, this is a substantial watch. We always advise customers with wrists under 6.5" to consider a slimmer profile instead — the square case will overhang. Between 6.5" and 8", it sits balanced.

The 16mm case height means it will catch on tight shirt cuffs. We recommend it for casual and smart-casual wear rather than formal shirting.

Care and handling

• Wipe the rubber strap with a damp cloth; avoid solvents and alcohol-based cleaners
